Joe Pyfer explains why he’s so confident he will KO “desperate” Jack Hermansson at UFC Vegas 86

Joe Pyfer has full confidence he will KO Jack Hermansson in the main event of UFC Vegas 86 on Saturday at the UFC Apex.

Pyfer is set for his first UFC main event and he gets the chance to fight Hermansson who is ranked 10th at middleweight. Although Pyfer is unranked, he is a sizeable betting favorite as he’s a -258 favorite as the oddsmakers expect the American to remain undefeated in the UFC.

Entering the fight, Joe Pyfer believes he will be much faster than Jack Hermansson. He also is confident he is the much better striker, which, in turn, will lead to a knockout win over the Swede.

“I think I knock Jack out. He’s got a 29% takedown accuracy. I’ve watched all his videos extensively. He’s very desperate with a lot of his takedowns and I think they’re very slow. I think what you guys are going to realize is that there’s a big speed differential in Jack. There’s a big boxing differential between me and Jack,” Joe Pyfer said at UFC Vegas 86 media day…

“Jack is good everywhere, but not great at any one thing. He’s got good cardio, e’s got good boxing, he’s got good kickboxing, he’s got good grappling, but I don’t see anything in that man’s skillset that will ever make him a champion or a title challenger again. I think all the pressure is on him,” Pyfer later added.

If Joe Pyfer can score a knockout win over Jack Hermansson it would be a statement-making performance. It also would put Pyfer into the rankings which the American says is where he belongs.

“Well, on the outside, it puts me on the top 15. I don’t personally care where I’m ranked, but for my life and where I come from again and the odds I’ve defied. It puts me right where I’ve always believed I’ve belonged, and that’s among the best,” Pyfer concluded.

Joe Pyfer enters his UFC Vegas 86 main event coming off a submission win over Abdul Razak Alhassan. The American is 3-0 in the UFC as he also holds TKO wins over Gerald Meerschaert and Alen Amedovski.
