Round one of this welterweight bout begins and Ian Machado Garry takes the center of the Octagon. Geoff Neal lands an inside low kick. The Irishman with a calf kick and then one to the body. Neal answers with a low kick. Garry returns fire and then goes upstairs with a left hand. A nice counter right from ‘The Future’. The American continues to work the lead leg of the Irishman. Geoff Neal leaps in with a 1-2 and then a big left hand over the top. The fighters clinch up against the cage. Neal lands a nice knee to the body. Ian Machado Garry breaks free from the fence and circles out. He lands a nice left and then a knee to the body. Garry goes upstairs with a high kick. Neal comes forward with a 1-2 to close out the opening round.
Round two begins and Ian Machado Garry continues to utilize his kicks. He lands a low kick and then one to the body. Geoff Neal looks to close the distance. He shoots in and forces Garry up against the cage. Not much action here and the crowd begins to boo. The Irishman gets off the cage and just misses with a knee up the middle. Garry with a good jab. He goes to the body with a kick. Neal with a left hand and then a low kick. He comes over the top with a right and then pushes Garry back up against the cage. The fighters separate and Geoff Neal lands a good 1-2 off the break. Ian Machado Garry continues to utilize his range. He is landing his kicks seemingly at will. Neal comes forward with a big flurry. The third and final round begins and Geoff Neal comes out aggressively. He misses with a big punch but is able to force Garry up against the cage. The Irishman breaks free and partially connects with a head kick. He follows that up with a nice kick to the body. Neal with a nice inside low kick. Ian Machado Garry with a nice jab and then a 1-2. He just misses with a knee up the middle. Another hard body kick lands for Garry. He is winning this round thus far. Geoff Neal forces the clinch and pushes Garry back against the cage. The crowd is growing restless. ‘The Future’ breaks free and lands a low kick. Neal counters with a good left hand. Garry answers with a good kick to the body. Neal is looking to close the distance, but Ian continues to be elusive with constant movement. Good shots from both men in the pocket. Neal forces the clinch. The horn sounds to end the contest.
