Luke Lessei returns to action against Eddie Abasolo at ONE Fight Night 19

ONE Championship’s next live event in U.S. primetime will feature an all-American Muay Thai clash.

At ONE Fight Night 19 on Prime Video this February 16, Luke Lessei locks horns with Eddie Abasolo in a featherweight bout. The card airs from the iconic Lumipinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Lessei made his ONE Championship debut this past December, leaving an impression with his rousing performance against a ranked contender.

There, the 27-year-old Iowa native faced off against “Smokin” Jo Nattawut. During the three-round encounter, both men exchanged their best offense from bell to bell.

Despite a close unanimous decision going against him, Lessei’s gallant stand resonated across the weight class, signaling his arrival on the global stage.

On the other hand, Abasolo brings his own set of credentials to the matchup.

The California-based striker has already faced high-profile opponents in his last three assignments as part of the world’s largest martial arts organization.

Abasolo’s promotional debut in November 2022 saw him drop a unanimous decision to British veteran Liam Nolan. However, he swiftly rebounded with a knockout victory over then-#5-ranked contender Niclas Larsen four months later.

“Silky Smooth” then faced the daunting challenge of squaring off against Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in June 2023.
