The Filipino sensation squares off against Australia’s Danial Williams in a strawweight MMA clash at ONE Fight Night 19 on Prime Video. The event emanates live in U.S. primetime from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on February 16.

Adiwang’s journey to this pivotal moment has been nothing short of inspiring.

Overcoming a debilitating ACL injury that sidelined him for 18 months, “Thunder Kid” made a resounding comeback. He won his last two outings in spectacular fashion.

In September 2023, Adiwang announced his return with authority. There, he dispatched Adrian Mattheis in a mere 23 seconds with a devastating TKO.

Just two months later, he settled the score with Jeremy Miado. He secured a unanimous decision victory in a highly anticipated rematch.

Now riding a wave of momentum, Adiwang is eager to secure his third consecutive win. Another triumph could help his case for a spot in the strawweight division’s top five.

Danial Williams provides exciting matchup for Lito Adiwang

Lito Adiwang’s quest for a third straight win is no easy task. In fact, he is set to go toe-to-toe with Danial Williams.

Known for his devil-may-care style, “Mini T” has instilled fear in his opponents across three disciplines under the ONE Championship banner.

His biggest triumph under MMA rules came in February 2022. There, he scored a second-round knockout win over former ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Dejdamrong Sor Amnuaysirichoke.

However, Williams has faced setbacks in his recent outings. He lost his last three assignments.

The skid began with a stoppage loss to Adiwang’s rival and compatriot, Jeremy Miado, in October 2022.

It was followed by defeats in two kickboxing World Title bids in 2023 against Superlek Kiatmoo9 at flyweight and Jonathan Di Bella at strawweight.

For Williams, a victory over Adiwang represents more than just a win. It is an opportunity for redemption.
