The 154th episode of Just Scrap Radio is live to recap some past fights and preview UFC Mexico City on Saturday.
We’re first joined by 12th-ranked UFC featherweight Dan Ige (1:17). Next, UFC welterweight Max Griffin (14:32) comes on. Closing out the program is UFC lightweight Chris Duncan (27:57).
Dan Ige opens up the show to recap his UFC Vegas 86 KO win over Andre Fili. Dan talks about fighting a friend and someone he has trained with in the past in Fili and why that made it difficult. He then chats about the KO win and what that does for him in the featherweight division. Ige also talks about the division and his goals for the year.
Max Griffin comes on to recap his UFC Vegas 86 split decision win over Jeremiah Wells and what he took away from that. He then chats about that being the final fight of his deal and hoping to re-sign with the UFC. Max then talks about when he would like to return and hopes to continue to fight more well-known guys from here on out.
Chris Duncan then closes out the program to preview his UFC Mexico City fight against Manuel Torres. Chris talks about his fight against Terrance McKinney not happening due to visa issues and wanting that fight back in the future. He chats about going into enemy territory and fighting a Mexican in Mexico. Chris also talks about what a win does for him and his goals for 2024.
