Andre Fili reacts following nasty knockout loss to Dan Ige at UFC Vegas 86: “Thanks for the extra shot at the end”
UFC fighter Andre Fili has reacted to his nasty knockout defeat at the hands of Dan Ige last weekend.
In a quick turnaround, Andre Fili attempted to vault himself up the rankings by taking on Dan Ige. It was always going to be a war between these two but in the end, it took less than three minutes for us to get a conclusive winner. It was Ige who managed to get the job done, and he did so with a vicious knockout.
For Dan, it helped him remind the masses what he could do at featherweight. As for Fili, it serves as a setback in his push to make a real play for the top of the division at 145 pounds.
In a statement via Instagram, Fili spoke candidly about the loss and what’s next for him.
Fili responds to big defeat
“Live by the sword, die by the sword. Tough night at the office on Saturday. Got to take the Wins and the losses as a man. I’ll learn from my mistakes, shake it off, make a few dumb jokes, and I will come back better- the way I always do.
“The amount of love I got from everyone is genuinely overwhelming- idk what I did to deserve so much but I’m immensely grateful for it and I will spend my energy trying to reciprocate and perpetuate it back out into the world.
“Congrats to @dynamitedan808 he’s truly one of the good guys in this sport, all the best to his family and new baby girl. Thanks for the extra shot at the end, ya dickhead, I hope your hand hurts haha. Onward & Upward.”
